“This guy is the best midfielder in Ghana but he was not invited to pay Nigeria, this nonsἕnsἕ must stop”- Asamoah Gyan Blast GFA
Asamoah Gyan, a former Ghanaian striker, and captain of the national team has gone berserk over the omission of a man he believes should have been included in the Black Stars squad to face Nigeria on Friday.
The Black Stars have named a 27-man squad to face the Super Eagles in the 2022 World Cup playoffs, which will be held in Kumasi.
Asamoah Gyan expressed his displeasure with the team selected to represent Ghana at the World Cup in Qatar in a tweet this morning.
After Thomas Partey, the top striker was dissatisfied with the omission of one guy who he believes is the best midfielder.
He took his dissatisfaction a step further, urging the team’s management to cease repeating the ‘nonsense’ of player selection throughout the years.
After receiving backlash for criticizing the football authorities, Ghana’s arguably finest striker eventually deleted the tweet.
