“There is no sense on paying E levy”- Mr. Beautiful
Following the implementation of the E-Levy, Mr Beautiful has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government.
Before it was passed in parliament, the E-Levy was met with fierce criticism from Ghanaians.
People who utilise electronic means to conduct transactions will pay 1.5 percent from May 1, 2022, once President Akufo-Addo signs it into law.
Mr Beautiful, a Ghanaian actor known in private life as Clement Bonney, responded to this in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Kastle FM, saying that the E-Levy implementation is complete rubbish.
“Throughout Ghana’s history, Nana Addo has borrowed vast sums of money but has squandered them all.”
“You’re excitedly following up on the little money remaining in Ghanaians’ mobile money accounts to go and waste it,” he remarked.
“How do you send additional sheep to go and perform the same thing if the sheep that left for grazing haven’t returned?” Mr Beautiful continued.
