“The monies for the presidents’ wives are too small, they should add some”- A-Plus

The People’s Project (TPP) founder Kwame A Plus has reacted to the government’s plan to pay first ladies Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Samira Bawumia.

Since the news surfaced, Ghanaians and internet users have questioned why the first women should be paid since they do not do any work.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Information, said yesterday that Parliament had approved the proposal to give the first and second ladies of the country a monthly remuneration of 21,000 cedis.

He went on to say that the pay will be backdated to 2017 and that the first lady, Rebecca Akuffo Addo, would earn around 7.4 million Cedis.

Kwame A Plus, who has been criticizing the government in response to the news, claimed that the money is insufficient and that more should be added.

“The first lady’s salary is too low,” he wrote. They must include some!!! “
