Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has advised the flagbearer of the main opposition The NDC, John Mahama to tell Ghanaians the errors he committed in the previous administration and the necessary measures he will put in place to amend them.
John Mahama had visited the Ashatenhen to introduced his running mate, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang to him at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday, 26 August 2020 when the most revered king gave this advice.
“You have just told me what you did when you were President, and what you want to do if you get another chance… What you have to do is to tell Ghanaians the wrongs of the past and how you will correct those wrongs” Otumfuor said.
according to Asantehene, this would help Ghanaian people to be able to make a choice between him and the President in the upcoming general elections as he(Nana Addo) is also doing same in his recent tours
Otumfuo also reminded the former president to rectify some mistakes that made him lose the 2016 general elections “as he was angrily and hungrily voted out by Ghanaians.”
