For killing his wife, a 44-year-old taxi driver from Mazabuka was given the death penalty by hanging
Mwiinga was found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging by Livingstone High Court Judge-in-Charge Chilombo Bridget Maka.
Mwiinga told the police that he killed his wife, Luba, who was 31 years old. But when he entered a plea, he denied killing his wife.
The court heard evidence that Mwiinga killed Luba between December 17 and December 18 of 2021.
After Luba was accused of having an affair outside of her marriage, Mwiinga hit her on the forehead and back of the head with a vehicle jerk and a wheel spanner. He then put her body in a calvert near Zebra in Mazabuka.
