Sunyani: Lady jailed for stἆbbing her boyfriend to deἆth over grasscutter soup
A Sunyani High Court presided over by Her Ladyship Justice Mavis Akua Ando sentenced a 27-year-old woman from Abesim in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region to ten years in prison for the murder of her 30-year-old lover.
Bestshowbiz.com reporters on the scene revealed that Hilda Asumani Embro had been dating her now-deceased lover for more than six years.
However, their relationship has recently suffered a setback after the man was caught cheating on her with another woman.
The two were said to have had several violent clashes, but their issues were resolved by their immediate family.
According to the Prosecutor, what triggered Hilda Asumani Embro’s violent attack was Prince Yaw Aboagye’s decision to eat all of the grasscutter soup she had prepared for the entire family.
Hilda is said to have stabbed Prince with a pair of scissors multiple times in his neck and chin area, leaving him bleeding profusely and ultimately killing him.
The suspect was later apprehended and charged with manslaughter. She was found guilty of the crime and sentenced to ten years in prison with hard labor.
