Student Nurse Breaks Up With Boyfriend For Not Increasing Her Monthly Money From GH¢1,000 To GH¢1,200

A Ghanaian student nurse broke her boyfriend’s heart after he refused to increase her monthly allowance.

The boyfriend pays the nursing student GH1,000 per month for maintenance, but the girl claims that owing to the recent increase in the prices of products and services in Ghana, the money is insufficient.

Despite receiving an additional GH300 and GH200 from her father and brother, the lady claims it is insufficient.

He complained to a friend and emailed him screenshots of his conversation with the nursing student.

The friend forwarded the discussions to relationship blogger Abena Magis, who solicited public feedback on her Facebook and Twitter sites.

The conversation begins with the girl thanking him for sending this month’s stipend, followed by concerns that he should’ve raised it as agreed since sometimes GH1,000 is not enough for the month.

The man begged her to argue with him since he is putting a large portion of his pay on a building for their future.

He claimed that he only spends GH470 each month, thus the girl should be able to handle the GH1,000.

When the girl requested that he raise her allowance, the guy advised that she seek raises from her father and sibling because he is unwilling to raise his.

This enraged the girl, prompting her to threaten to stop the relationship and block him.
