“Stop using banku rubber on your car seats to prove it is new”-Empress Gifty blast Tracey Boakye and Diamond Appiah
Empress Gifty, a controversial Ghanaian gospel singer, has slammed ‘village girls’ Tracey Boakye and Diamond Appiah for their obsession with putting rubbers over their car seats to make them look like new.
The ‘tear-rubber’ automobile is at the top of the list of ridiculous status symbols among Ghanaian celebrities.
Tear-rubber, which literally means the seat covers are still attached to the car, is how people prove they got a brand new automobile rather than a used one.
Never believe what you see when it comes to Ghanaian celebrities.
Many celebrities, according to Empress Gifty, now buy rubber from the market and lay it over their car seats.
She yelled at the celebrities to put an end to their antics.
We just observed Diamond Appiah and Tracey do that this weekend on their way from Accra to Kumasi for Afia’s father’s funeral, which may or may not be coincidental.
You may have seen recordings of them traveling in which Diamond is shown sitting in one of the cars with rubber seats.
