“Stop giving loans to Ghana” – Actress Martha Ankomah begs foreign countries
Martha Ankomah has called with the West to cease lending money to Ghana, claiming that the funds are being diverted to illegal businesses.
The actress, who spoke on Accra FM, believes that the country is endowed with sufficient resources to handle its own affairs provided these resources are properly utilized, obviating the need for loans.
According to the well-known actress, Ghana’s issue has always been leadership, which has been extremely concerning for the country.
“Africa our problem has been leadership because Dubai has just one resource (oil) and can develop to this degree, then Ghana has all the resources…,” she said. “I hear Ghana now has oil. In fact, whites aren’t authorized to lend to blacks.”
“If our leaders build affection for the country and the continent, things may improve,” she added. “It’s better to make an impact than to leave footprints.” It’s better to sit in a V8 and be impactful than distributing rice, goat, sheep during elections. You can’t drive a V8 when your constituents go to school under trees.”
