SHS student in Vice President’s hometown reveals they don’t even get clean water to drink

Aisha Barikisu, a 16-year-old Free SHS student, talked to Joynews about a horrific condition at the Senior High School in Vice President’s hometown. Walewale, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to her, she and over 700 students at Walewale Senior High Technical School are unable to access portable water because almost all of the school’s water pumps have been disabled.

They must walk for about an hour until they can help themselves to water from a dug-out pond or a well. They called out for help from officials.

” We are tomorrow’s world leaders. To live and represent our country, we need portable drinking water. They need to assist us. ” In a segment of her Joynews interview, Aisha said.
