The untimely death of another hardworking police officer in the Central region has undoubtedly broken the hearts of most Ghanaians, given that most people have expressed grieved concern about the rise in untimely deaths of these police officers across the country.
Dr. George Akufo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police, has undoubtedly witnessed a lot of sad news in the past few months since his appointment by the incumbent President, Nana Akufo Addo, considering how his police officers have undoubtedly met their respective untimely deaths due to unexpected circumstances.
In addition to this, another unexpected news that has undoubtedly broken the hearts of most Ghanaians while also raising many concerns amongst individuals was the untimely death of another innocent female police officer while on duty.
According to information, the 29-year-old police officer, Comfort Freby, was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle on the Kasoa-Apam highway in the central region.
Comfort Freby, the deceased, was reported to have been crushed by a speeding Toyota vehicle with the registration number GS 4746-20 while on duty at a police checkpoint in the early hours of Tuesday.
Furthermore, it has been reported that the driver of the Toyota vehicle unexpectedly lost control of his vehicle due to the rate at which he was driving, crushing the innocent police officer who has been identified as the family’s sole breadwinner to death.
The husband of the female police officer killed by a speeding Toyota vehicle couldn’t hold back his tears as he was seen wailing and crying uncontrollably after several police officers from the Gomoa Dominade district police command stormed the deceased’s residence to mourn with the bereaved family.
