Shatta Wale promises to help and support new and upcoming artists as his retirement plan in music
Shatta Wale, a reggae and dancehall crooner, has pledged to assist and advise new and upcoming artists as they begin their careers in the increasingly competitive music industry.
In a recent interview on Empire FM in Takoradi, he stated that he did not have the opportunity to receive this kind of support when he was first beginning his career, which is what led to him making certain errors that could have been avoided. As a result of this, he has made it his mission to guide up-and-coming talent away from the pitfalls he encountered.
He stated, “Gradually, I would just love to support artists that are really coming up and would want to do music and take them through an orientation of who an artist should be because we didn’t get the opportunity to go through some orientations. I would just love to do that.” “Like, if we did, we wouldn’t be singing some profane songs here and there, and we wouldn’t be doing some diss tracks here and there,” he stated.
He continued by saying, “My future plans involve identifying emerging talents and offering them guidance to comprehend the music business in Ghana.” This initiative is aimed at preventing them from making the same errors that some of us have encountered in the past.
The self-proclaimed Dancehall King’s statement has already received a great deal of support from other industry players and fans. Many of these individuals have praised the self-proclaimed “Dancehall King’s” dedication to supporting emerging artists.
