Martha Ankomah, who was born on October 10, 1985, has been in a number of films, including A Pleasant Surprise, Broken Lives, and Side Chicks, to name a few.

She has gained Ghanaians’ respect and appreciation as one of the country’s most excellent actresses.

In 1994, she started her acting career through the help of her cousin. She participated in the 2007 season of the Next Movie Star reality program, finishing third after auditioning for various movies and appearing in several television serials and film projects.

Ankomah officially inaugurated her beauty shop “Martha’s Place” in Accra in July 2013. Women’s treatments are available in the salon. It is now on display at Spintex.


Ankomah has her own foundation, which she established in 2016. The charity aims to offer health education, childcare assistance programs, economic empowerment, and community development initiatives. The charity collaborates with autism ambassadors to raise autism awareness and help autistic children.


Ankomah secured an endorsement partnership with Vitamilk in 2014. In 2017, Dusk Capital Ltd, a Ghanaian investment bank, appointed Ankomah as its brand ambassador. She has been a Globacom brand ambassador since 2018. Ankomah was selected brand ambassador for Ghana Textiles Printers’ new fabric, ‘Adepa Dumas,’ the same year.
