A female military officer who accepted a marriage proposal from a corper has been dragged through the dirt by the Nigerian army, which claims her actions were “prejudicial to good order and military discipline.”
Her problems began when a video of her appeared on the internet, showing her consenting to marry a young man who knelt before her with a ring in hand.
Other individuals who cheered on the soldier and her partner observed the proposal.
However, her employer, the Nigerian army, has taken the event seriously, calling it “indulging in romance while in uniform.”
