see story of a girl who learns under streetlights as she prepares for BECE because her house has no electricity
A Twitter user posted about a young Ghanaian girl who will be taking her BECE in the coming months.
According to Michael Owusu, the little girl uses the lamps in her neighborhood to study at night.
When asked why she doesn’t study at home but rather outside under the streetlights, she explained that their home isn’t wired for electricity.
A total of Ghc1,900 was raised through online friends to get the girl’s mother’s house connected to the power grid.
The girl’s mother has expressed her appreciation to everyone who contributed money to Michael Owusu in order for their house to be linked to the power grid, and she prays for God’s blessing on everyone.
The story has gone viral, with many people praising the girl’s determination to complete her examinations despite the challenges she faces in her studies.
