A Twitter user with the handle @dthezikora was escorted to Lekki, one of Nigeria’s wealthiest districts, for an apartment inspection, but was surprised to see an apartment with a toilet and kitchen in the same enclosed room.
The property is being rented out for over 24,000 cedis, which is outrageous (1.3 million naira).
This may seem impossible, yet many people have complained about deteriorating houses with outrageous prices in wealthy neighborhoods.
Many people have voiced their surprise at how the property owner could do such a thing and their unhappiness with how unhealthy it seems.
Because of the rental housing issue that exists in many parts of Africa, some landlords are willing to provide little in exchange for a large sum of money.
