Catherine Maame Serwaa Banahene is a Ghanaian female basketball player at Charm Basketball Academy.
In her profession as a Power Forward, she hopes to become a global star.
Catherine checks all the boxes for being an excellent basketball player with her flips and tricks, as well as her height, which allows her to defend and pull up dinks with ease.
She is the tallest basketball player in Ghana at 11 years old, standing 6’5 / 196 cm tall.
Cathrine will be trying to join a long list of Ghanaian female athletes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States.
Ghana Basketball Association is an active basketball regulating body in Ghana (GBBA).
Ghana’s women’s national basketball team competes in international basketball tournaments on a regular basis.
Despite the fact that they have yet to compete in a major tournament, the youth squad finished seventh in the FIBA 3-3 Africa Cup.
In terms of youth basketball, Ghana was ranked 8th in Africa for males and 16th for females in 2019.
According to the International Basketball Federation Women’s World Ranking issued in February 2022, the Women’s national team is now placed 123rd in the world.
