There is an Akan proverb that says, “A lousy work is far better than robbery,” and a lovely couple who were caught selling asaana and bread proved this to be true in a practical way.
The duo, who have left many people in wonder, is believed to market their wares around Dzorwulu, East Legon, and other major Accra areas.
A photograph that is quickly gaining popularity on social media showed the wife carrying the locally produced drink known as Asaana, while his husband, who was dressed in formal attire, was also seen holding the bread as they strolled down the street together.
Many internet users who came upon the photos expressed their happiness and relief at seeing them both working together toward a common goal, which is to earn money so that they may feed their own families and the families of their children.
