She was born in Tamale to Ghanaian parents, but moved to Sweden with her parents when she was a child.

Sharon Esinam Sampson has astounded Ghanaians with her striking beauty, athleticism, and well-built physique, as well as her incredible footballing ability.
The 19-year-old Ghanaian International is currently training with the national women’s Under-20 team (Black Princesses) in preparation for the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
She reveals in a video that her mother and father are both Ghanaians who lived together in Tamale, Northern Region of Ghana, where her parents were born and raised, but they all moved to Sweden when she was very young.
Her father, Charles Sampson, was also a former Ghanaian international who had the opportunity to pursue his football career in Sweden, according to her.
She revealed that she is not representing Ghana for the first time. She stated that she represented Ghana in a friendly match in Morocco two years ago. As a result, she is representing Ghana for the second time.
She also revealed that after two years away from the team, she was nervous about returning to play for Ghana, but she is now overjoyed to be a part of the team because of how welcoming Ghanaians and teammates are.
