The news that Nigerian artist Flavour Nabania has flown his adopted son Semah G Weifur to India for eye surgery to restore the boy’s sight has jolted the internet.
Flavour encountered Semah in early 2017 in Monrovia, Liberia, and was moved by both the boy’s predicament (sight impairment) and his talent, so he took him with him.
According to the Superstar, adopting Semah was also a way for him to show the world that no ailment can hold a person back, and Semah’s talent and confidence gave him even more motivation to show the world what he can accomplish musically.
In 2018, they collaborated on a five-track album called “DIVINE,” which has seen Semah play on three continents and win prizes such as the Afrimma.
Semah G Weifur, a Liberian blind youngster, was seen singing as a solo musician in a school; the boy is a great musical artist and a big fan of Flavor.
According to a report by Vanguard, Semah was born blind and into a poor family. He was cared for by the Christian Association of the Blind, a Monrovia-based NGO (CAB).
Many people hoped for a successful surgery so that the young lad’s longing to view the wonders of creation could be fulfilled, but his sight was not restored.
Despite the fact that the surgical procedure’s goal was not met, Semah’s life has changed dramatically. That significant transformation may be seen in the photos below.
