A video of a high school girl aggressively beating her friend and tearing her underwear into pieces has caused quite a stir on social media.
Surprisingly, the kicks she delivered to her opponent enraged many social media users after the video went viral.
In the video, the aggressor and bully can be seen repeatedly kicking and punching the other, knocking her to the ground, and continuing to abuse her.
Meanwhile, an investigation into the matter has been launched, and the school they attend has issued an official statement to that effect.
“The [department] has summarily suspended two students, pending the disciplinary hearing, who attacked a pupil shown in the gruesome video clip that is circulating on social media,” the department said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the department, the school was told to complete the disciplinary procedures within seven days.
“Competent psychologists from the department of social development are currently providing professional therapy to the victim and other affected learners.”
The department’s legal services officials have also been directed to assist the victim in filing a police report and contacting the administrators of social media platforms in order to remove and block the video’s distribution.
“The Department of Education wishes to appeal to members of the public to refrain from disseminating [the] humiliating video clip, as further dissemination will only serve to inflict further harm to the victim’s dignity for the rest of her life.”
