Sarkodie reacts to Sammy Gyamfi’s Insensitive ‘Floyd-Themed’ Cartoon Post

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has slammed the National Communications Officer of the opposition NDC, Sammy Gyamfi over the recent insensitive post he made relating the death of Floyd to the new voter’s register.

One can Recall that Sammy Gyamfi yesterday shared a photo on Twitter using the unfortunate demise of Black American George Floyd for partisan politics.

He related the death of Floyd to the new voters register to be issued by the government as he said such an act is also xenophobic as the Murder of George Floyd.

“Nothing wrong with sharing a cartoon which draws a parallel between the painful xenophobic murder of George Floyd, and the evil attempt by the GH EC to disenfranchise millions of eligible voters through a xenophobic voter register.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. This is a serious matter, not a joke.” Sammy Gyamfi tweeted

This controversial tweet  garnered several reactions as netizens blasted sammy Gyamfi over his insensitive post.

Sarkodie has also reacted to the issue stating that Sammy Gyamfi should accept his mistake adding that he should retract and delete the tweet.

“Naa my brother we all go wrong sometimes… I will believe your intention wasn’t to joke with these serious n very sensitive issues, but you still wrong just do what’s right…. retract n take it down” Sarkodie Tweeted
