Former Barcelona and Chelsea star Samuel Eto’o in the hospital after being involved in a car accident
Reports available to us indicates Samuel Eto’o is in hospital after sustaining minor injuries after being involved in a car accident in Cameroon, his hometown.
The former Barcelona and Chelsea striker was said to have been returning from a wedding on Sunday when his car got hit by a bus.
France Football claim further examinations would be carried out on Samuel Eto’o at the hospital he is being held.
According to Cameroonian journalist Martin Camus, he has spoken with Eto’o, and he is doing find. “I can confirm that he is fine, we spoke again. Doctors taking care of additional examinations.” he said after sharing photos of the crashed car of the football meastro.
The pictures he shared showed Eto’o’s car smashed with major damages at the from indicating it was a head on collision. The good news is there were no casualties despite the extend of damage the car received.
Samuel Eto’o played for Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Chelsea among many others, winning multiple league titles before retiring just over a year ago.
In 2000 and 2002, he also won an Olympic gold medal and won the African Cup of Nations with Cameroon.
He is currently the all-time leading goal scorer, having scored 49 times in 97 appearances for his country.
