Kofi Laing, also known as Kohwe, was a well-known Ghanaian actor who passed away recently.
On the evening of Thursday, September 16, 2021, his daughter, Comfort Laing, confirmed the news , stating that her father passed away at his apartment in Accra.
Kohwe is thought to be about the age of 75.
Recently, it was announced that he had suffered a stroke and was currently seeking treatment at a medical facility in New York City.
Following a speech by Kohwe two years ago about his financial difficulties, former Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng Gyasi, and an organization named Cape Coast Oguaa, among others, generously gave monetary and in-kind contributions to Kohwe’s cause.
Kohwe is well-known for his outstanding performances in the Akan Drama series as well as the popular television series “District Colonial Court.”
