Sad News; Husband, Wife, and 3 Children are Dead After Their Car Falls Into A River
A car accident on the Kumasi Nkawie Sefwi roads claimed the lives of six (6) members of the same family on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
All six people killed were returning from a wedding when they got involved in the gory accident which killed them instantly. Reports say the victims were a couple, their mother-law, and three children.
According to eyewitness accounts, the driver of the car tried to overtake and observed another vehicle approaching him head-on at the time. They ended up in a nearby river as their driver tried to swerve and ended up drowning.
One of the victims, identified as Eunice Maame Fosua was a staff at Forifori Health Center in Afram Plains South District in the Eastern region. She was said to be on study leave at the time and was studying post-basic midwifery.
Meanwhile, MTTD commander Chief Superintendent Adu-Boahen of the Ashanti regional police failed to give official details of the incident when he spoke with media men who were at the scene.
“Yes the report on the accident has come to my attention. That six people have died in the Nkawie area. Investigation have commenced. I’m yet to received fact on the accident from my officers on the ground,’’ he told EIB’s News Ashanti Regional correspondent Isaac Justice Bediako.
