Rihanna, Christian Amanpour and Don Jazzy express interest in helping street hawker who went viral for her singing
Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records, is battling rival record labels in Nigeria and the United States for the rights to sign a 17-year-old street hawker who became famous for her voice.
Salle received international attention a few weeks ago after she was caught on camera singing an original song she wrote.
Her voice was wonderful, and many viewers were puzzled why she hadn’t become a music celebrity yet.
Fast forward to now, and Salle has become a hot cake, with tens of thousands of label deals and interviews under his belt.
Chocolate City, a Nigerian music record label, has indicated an interest in signing the 17-year-old girl, but Mavins Records’ Don Jazzy has offered to turn her into a superstar like Rema and Ayra Starr.
“So much how music can change the world. Salle come on board let’s sign on the dotted lines and change the world together”– Chocolate City music said on Twitter
Don Jazzy who saw the tweet quickly went under to reply, “Oshee uncle choc, Abeg leave her for me. She will rock same stage with Rema and Ayra Starr.”
Salle has also landed an interview with CNN’s Cristiane Amanpour and a surprise phone call from American music icon Rihanna.
