Highlife artist Kuami Eugene has said that his first interaction with alcohol was inspired by his record label owner, Richie Mensah.
In a now viral interview with actress and TV personality Sika Osei, the multi-award-winning artist said that the CEO of Lynx Entertainment forced him to try alcohol at a bar.
Richie allegedly lied to him that alcohol is a sweet beverage and forced him to taste it. He was displeased with the flavor after taking a drink.
“I went to the club for the first time with Richie.” I’d never gone to a club before, and Richie was the first person to introduce me to booze. “Well, taste it; it’s great,” he said after mixing it. “I tried it, and I was like, arh, this dude paa, this thing isn’t good oo,” Kwame Eugene said
Eugene claimed that he now goes to drinking places on his own, when asked whether his employer had always accompanied him there.
He mentioned that he does not go to clubs and instead prefers to drink at places like Blue Moon.
“He no longer takes me there; I go by myself, but I’m not much of a club person; I go once a year,” he said.
