A mother who rescued a Nigerian youngster who had been abandoned by his village. Even though Anja and her husband already had a boy of their own, they felt driven to rescue Hope, who had little chance of surviving on his own.

Anja Ringgren Lovén, a Danish relief worker, feeds the youngster, who was around two years old at the time, a sip of water from a plastic bottle while standing on a dirt road with a piece of cracker in one hand. For months, the youngster had been homeless, skeleton, and on the verge of death.

Hope was very unwell when she met him, and when they took him to the hospital, his condition was grave, and no one believed he would live. Hope was returned to normal after multiple surgeries and medical procedures.

His family or relatives have been unable to be located by the organization.

Despite his traumatic start in life, Hope smiles proudly at his viral portrait, according to Anja.
