President Akufo Addo To Rush And Visit Areas Affected By The Spillage Of The Akosombo Dam.

President Nana Akufo-Addo will, on Monday, October 16, visit districts hit by the flooding from the spillage of the Akosombo Dam. The President will be joined on this tour by members of the Inter-Ministerial Committee, which has been set up to coordinate the Government’s response.

The president’s visit was announced by the Communications Director of the presidency, Eugene Arhin. President Akufo-Addo will travel to these areas after arriving from his four-day official visit to the US on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Flooding caused by the spillage displaced thousands in the North, South, and Central Tongu districts.
