A pregnant woman from Ghana was caught on camera eating a piece of the wall due to strong cravings. The video quickly went viral, prompting mixed reactions on social media.
While some empathized with the woman’s pregnancy cravings, others expressed concern for her health.
The phenomenon of craving non-food items, known as pica, is not uncommon during pregnancy. In fact, studies suggest that up to 68% of pregnant women may experience pica at some point during their pregnancy.
