Popular Nigerian Tiktoker sentenced to three years in prison for cyberstalking actress Eniola Badmus – Video
Renowned Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has recently been involved in a legal battle with a popular Tiktoker who was accused of defaming and cyberstalking her on the social media platform.
The accused, Okoye Blessing Nwakaego, was sentenced to three years in prison by a Federal High Court judge in Lagos on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
However, the judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo, showed leniency and gave her the option to pay a fine of N150,000 instead of serving jail time.
The charges against Nwakaego stated that she conspired with another individual, Chimabia, who is currently on the run, to commit the cyberstalking offense between December 2022 and July 2023 in Lagos.
They were accused of using various blogs and social media networks, along with Nwakaego’s mobile number, to transmit offensive and false communication with the intention to cause annoyance, inconvenience, danger, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, and needless anxiety to Eniola Badmus.
