A well-known radio host has been detained for allegedly defiling his 11-year-old biological daughter on a regular basis during the previous year.
The victim’s mother ordered his arrest after discovering that her daughter had been privately molested for so long that it was beginning to affect her health.
Clement Oti, a popular Sunyani-based radio broadcaster who also works as a cab driver, has been accused of abusing his biological daughter, including having anal intercourse with her in front of her mother.
According to reports, the suspect, also known as ‘Shabatee’ in the media, is currently in police custody after the Bono Regional Office of the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) took up the case.
According to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the victim’s mother revealed in an interview that she became aware of the suspect’s incestuous and disgusting behavior after noticing some deformities on the victim’s body.
After being questioned, the young girl revealed to her mother, simply known as Ahensah, that her father had defiled her on a regular basis.
The scandalized mother reported the incident to the Sunyani District Police Command, and as a result, the perpetrator was captured and placed into custody.
She informed the GNA that a medical report backed the suspect’s criminal deed and encouraged the police to conduct their investigations as soon as possible to ensure the victim receives justice.
