Based on a tip-off, a notorious Guinean armed robber was apprehended in Kyebi Zongo in the Abuakwa South Municipality. He is suspected of killing a police officer in the James Town bullion armed heist.

Musa Kamara, a 26-year-old suspect, was apprehended alongside three other tough criminals accused of being engaged in the heist of a bullion van in Adedenkpo, James Town, Accra.
A combined police unit from Accra and Kyebi was responsible for the arrest.

Musa Kamara, who attempted to flee, was shot in the knee by police before being apprehended and is now being treated at the Kyebi Government Hospital under strong police protection.

Collins Addae nicknamed Kekye, Ebenezer Gyimah aka Peace, and another Guinean, Suleman Keta alias 69, a brother of Musa Kamara, were the three other suspects apprehended at Kyebi Zongo on Saturday.

The two Guinean brothers are alleged to be on the Ghana Police Department’s wanted list for their role in the heist in James Town.

Following a tip to the authorities, the criminals were smoked out of their hiding in Kyebi-Zongo. Residents of Kibi, Akyem Tafo, Osiem, Anyinasin, and the surrounding areas have reportedly been terrorized for some time.

Ebenezer Gyimah, alias Peace, was arrested in Kyebi Zongo after receiving a tip, but he managed to flee while in police handcuffs.

However, he and the other three suspects, including Musa Kamara, were apprehended during a police operation in Kyebi Zongo on Saturday.

Musa Kamara, who was shot and was first treated under police guard at the Kyebi Government Hospital, has now been transported to police headquarters in Accra with the three other accused.
