“Please the $ 1 million cheque for my daughter on her wedding day was fake”- Sam Korankye says after GRA’s letter
Naa Dromo was the topic in Ghana some few days ago when she married her lover and was supposedly given a huge amount of money by her friends as a wedding gift.
Her father has come out to give clarification on the issue that has since gone viral on the internet.
Following a letter from the Ghana Revenue Authority, the Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, general overseer of Royal House Chapel International, is perhaps one of the most perplexed people in Ghana.
During the wedding ceremony on July 10, 2021, friends of Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah’s daughter gave her a $1 million check, which went viral on social media.
People reacted to the presentation, which they described as extraordinary, especially given Ghana’s recent spate of lavish wedding festivities.
The GRA was soon notified and asked the couple to pay tax on the sum.
The Apostle General has advised the public not to place undue strain on themselves as the million-dollar cheque delivered at their daughter’s wedding is a fake cheque.
Mr. Korankye Ankrah called the cheque a “faith cheque”.
