Pizzaman CEO Is Unhappy with The Jail Sentence Given to His Thieves Workers – Says Leading Marketer
The leading marketer for Pizzaman in Kumasi, Richie, recently in an interview setting the record straight about the CEO’s feelings regarding the jail sentence given to two of his workers.
According to Richie, Pizzaman CEO Christian Boakye Yiadom is not happy with the 5-year jail sentence given to the two workers. While he acknowledges that the workers did something wrong, he believes that the punishment is too harsh for the CEO’s liking.
The two workers, Seidu Karim and Rashid Abdullah were sentenced and put behind bars for theft. They were found guilty of stealing 20 boxes of chicken wings and two gallons of vegetable cooking oil from the restaurant’s warehouse in Kumasi, Ghana.
Radio presenter Abeiku Santana criticized the CEO for taking such harsh action against the workers. He suggested that the CEO could have explored less punitive ways of handling the situation, such as deducting the cost of the stolen items from the workers’ salaries.
“Your worker steals 20 cartons of chicken wings from you and you get them imprisoned for five years? What’s the sense in that? Poor workers steal from you, deduct the cost of the stolen items from their pay…But they have been jailed five years each,” Abeiku Santana lashed out
