(Photos) Supposed Dead Body Fights 4 Macho Men At Mortuary In Takoradi
In Ghana, most families prefer to keep the bodies of their bereaved relatives in the mortuary so that they can plan a proper burial. It is strange, however, to learn that a healthy man who is still alive will be taken to the mortuary for preservation.
This is exactly what happened at the Effiankwanta Regional Hospital’s mortuary in Ghana’s Western Region.
Yamoah Eric, a mortuary attendant, told Connect FM’s Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi, as heard on BeaNana, that he was at the facility with a colleague when four well-built men arrived in a white Nissan pickup truck with the registration number AW 2497-21.
A few minutes later, the four well-built men summoned the mortuary man to retrieve a dead body from the bucket of their white vehicle.
The mortuary attendant had his gloves on and was ready to go when he realized the supposed dead body was still alive.
Mr. Kwamena John, another colleague who works as an ambulance driver in the area, arrived at the scene and noticed the young man was breathing.
They then informed the four well-built men that the supposed dead person they had brought was not dead and that they should return him to where he had come from.
They then refused to keep such a person in their care. However, it appears that the macho men had a pre-planned agenda.
According to Mr. Eric Yamoah, the four strong men began hitting the man in the back of the vehicle with force in an attempt to kill him.
He was concerned about the situation and didn’t understand why they wanted to kill the man with force and dispose of his body at the morgue.
While they were attempting to kill the man, he began fighting back in an attempt to gain his freedom. At this point, the four well-built men drove the vehicle out of the mortuary grounds.
The mortuary worker adds that as they drove away, he saw them hit the man at the vehicle’s bucket while he was screaming for help.
Mr. Eric Yamoah was unable to determine the reason for the macho men’s actions but believes they may have killed the young man later.
The Sekondi District Police Command has since taken the mortuary attendants’ statements in order to begin investigations into the incident.
