Clara Amoateng Benson, also known as Maame Serwaa, is a prominent Kumawood actress who began acting at the age of seven.
Clara Benson was born in Kumasi, Ghana’s Ashanti Region, where she began her film career.
Serwaa Nyarko Girls Secondary School was where she finished her secondary education.
However, Maame Serwaa suffered severe emotional trauma when her mother, Rose Amoateng Benson, passed away when she was in her final year of secondary school.
Madam Rose Amoateng Benson died on the 7th of December, 2017, at the age of 48, as her daughter was rapidly ascending in the film industry. She fell ill with an unidentified temporary sickness and went away.
Maame Serwaa had such a close relationship with her late mother that she was the one who connected her to Kumawood movie producers in order for her to pursue acting, and she has since become the family’s breadwinner.
Since his wife died, Maame Serwaa’s father, George Benson, has been a wonderful and responsible father to his daughter.
