On March 3, 2023, Imoro Sherrif, a private soldier posted at Sunyani Barracks, was assassinated by an alleged Ashaiman gangster near Ashaiman-Taifa.
He was stabbed multiple times in the back and died as a result of his injuries. Imori was just 21 years old and one of the freshly enlisted troops.
The death of Imori infuriated the military, prompting them to attack the village and subject some of these children to harsh workouts and punishment.
Meanwhile, the main suspects have all been apprehended – according to the Ghana Police Service.
Supposedly photos of these individuals have begun to circulate on social media.
According to reports, the police where able to track these perpetrators down thanks to the phone of Imoro which they stole after murdering him.
