Photos drop as the first group of Ghanaian doctors to separate conjoined twins practice with toys
At the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, rehearsals have begun for the separation of a set of Ghanaian twins who were born conjoined at the head.
The medical exercise officially referred to as assimilation is being carried out as a crucial step ahead of the all-important operation, according to an official update on the respected hospital’s Facebook page.
A team of nurses from Ghana’s largest hospitals gathered at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge) to practice the procedure, according to photos released by the hospital.
A total of 135 Ghanaian medical professionals are set to join forces in a historic event to separate two conjoined twins presently undergoing treatment at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.
