Siva Moodley, a South African cleric, was eventually laid to rest after his family kept his body hidden for 597 days in hope of his return.
Pastor Siva, who was 53 years old and started The Miracle Centre in the north of Johannesburg, died suddenly on August 15, 2021, after having been sick for a long time.
According to IOL, Siva’s remains have been stored in a mortuary in Johannesburg ever since he passed away because his family believed he would one day return.
IOL stated that after his passing, his relatives and churchgoers would come to the morgue to pray for his resurrection.
Since Moodley died, services at the church have kept going. They are now led by his partner Jessie, son David, and daughter Kathryn Jade.
After two years, the clergyman was eventually laid to rest.
