“Our parents agreed”: Beautiful Ghanaian bride reveals how she fell in love with her ‘brother’ and married him (Video)
On her wedding day, Ghanaian bride Barbara recounted an unorthodox love tale, explaining the remarkable path she and the groom, Dennis, took to find one another.
Barbara explained in an interview how their friendship began as a sibling bond due to their families renting adjoining apartments when they were 5 and 7 years old.
Barbara revealed that her father had acted as a father figure throughout Dennis’s youth because his own father was missing.
They grew up together, seeing each other as siblings and even referring to potential suitors as their “in-laws.” They lost touch as their lives took them in different directions.
Dennis admitted his love for Barbara only later, during a conversation, saying that he had been interested in her but had hesitated owing to their sibling-like bond.
“We grew up as siblings,’ even referring to potential suitors as ‘in-laws.'” But we lost touch along the way because we were both too busy. “But when we met again and were talking, he finally admitted that he had been interested in me but didn’t want to reveal it because we were like siblings,'” she stated.
After alerting their families and gaining their approval, the two continued dating, which eventually led to their wedding day.
