Kwame Nsiah-Apau, also known by his stage name Okyeame Kwame and as Rap Doctor, was born on April 17, 1976 in Ghana. He’s a musician, songwriter, creative director, and entrepreneur. In 1997, he and fellow Ghanaian Daniel Kofi Amoateng co-founded the hip-hop group “Akyeame” (under the stage name Okyeame Kofi).
Okyeame Kwame has made significant contributions to education and the advancement of scholarship, and his rap songs, which include educational issues, social conscience, and poetry, are now being studied at certain Ghanaian universities. He recently released a song called Yeeko, which featured Kuami Eugene, a Ghanaian highlife musician.
