Occupyjulorbihouse: Bridget Otoo Gives Detailed Account Of Some Police Officers Ripped Her Clothes And Stole Phones Of Protestors
Bridget Otoo, a Ghanaian media celebrity and Metro TV newscaster, has described how she was mistreated by police officers at a recent protest by activists.
Today, September 21st, 2023, activists organized the #OccupyJulorbiHouse (Julorbi, a corruption of Jubilee House, to wit’son of a thief’).
However, police officials broke up the protest and arrested those engaged, with the majority being transported to various police stations throughout the capital city.
Bridget Otoo, a TV presenter, was among those arrested and mistreated.
She also said that police officers stole some of the protestors’ cellphones.
When Bridget attempted to stop some police officers from arbitrarily kidnapping a young man, she claimed that she damaged her clothing.
Bridget Otoo expressed her dissatisfaction with how the security officers handled the situation.
