An NPP staunched man in the Eastern region has got residents in fear for his life after he was spotted on top of a Telephone Mast and efforts to get his down still proving futile.
According to reports, this man popularly known as Ayoma in the Asenua community of the Kwabere east municipality has vowed not to descend until the declaration of President Nana Akufo-Addo as the winner of the elections.
Sources say he climbed up with a Ghana flag, a full gallon of water, and some edible food items which should be able to take him through his journey at the life-threatening height.
Ayoma vowed not to descend until Nana Akufo-Addo is declared the winner of Monday's elections.“He has found himself a place to sit on top of the mast. His bag and gallon of water are all close to him, ” The source said. “He told people in the area he was going to climb up the mast and until President Akufo Addo is declared the winner in the December polls, he will remain there.”
Ayoma’s weird act has got residents in fear as they gathered at the base of the mast scared while they make attempts to convince him to descend.
Meanwhile, according to the Assemblymember of the Asenua Electoral Area, Kaakyire Asumadu the man is proving difficult to convince so he “has now decided to go report to the police to see how they can deal with the matter.”
Asumadu also revealed that this is not the first time the man has done such a thing as he embarked on similar missions before but was taken down by the Fire Service.
