Krepin Diatta is a 21-year-old professional footballer who was born in Senegal and plays a winger for his homeland and the International club, Club Brugge KV in Belgium.
He came into the limelight last year after he scored a screamer goal for Senegal during their opening game against Tanzania at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Following that spectacular goal, images and videos of the Senegalese footballer with his white girlfriend went viral on social media but to his shock, many were not concentrating on his talents rather – he became a center for social media troll.
People, especially Africans who he called brothers, started making fun of his looks; calling him “ugly”. It got worse when an African model named Nora Pinging stated on Twitter that she would never agree to marry him even if she was given 50 million dollars. However, she was not speared for her discrimination.
This heartbreaking comments Krepin Diatta received got him coming out to react as he tagged the comments as “racist” comments.
After Krepin Diatta bitterly replied to his trolls, Didier Drogba also responded and encouraged him to be strong and focus his attention on his career and not the negative reviews because he is very talented.
