According to a fresh social media rumor, gospel singer Empress Gifty was first slated to anchor UTV’s United Showbiz before being switched by Nana Ama Mcbrown owing to the influence of certain important persons inside Despite Media.
According to an unidentified source who released an audio recording of the disclosure, Empress Gifty was set to host the program and was going to sign a lucrative deal with UTV.
Nevertheless, Roger Quartey, a well-known Ghanaian film producer and media figure, spearheaded a movement to replace her with Mcbrown.
The pushing for Mcbrown to take over as host was so fierce that it almost created havoc inside Despite Media.
Yet, following a vote, Mcbrown was chosen, and she was permitted to take over the program since she had not yet signed a contract with the media company.
According to the source, some individuals at Desperate Media were jealous of the big agreement Empress Gifty was going to acquire and wanted to give it to Mcbrown instead.
