Netizens react as two house helps allegedly steal $1 Million, €300k and other stuffs from NPP’s Cecelia Dapaah

A circuit court in Accra is currently presiding over a case involving the alleged theft of significant sums of money from the residence of Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources.

Two house helps, Patience Botwe, 18, and Sarah Agyei, 30, are accused of stealing $1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghana cedis between July and October 2022.

The stolen funds were reportedly taken from the minister and her husband’s home in Abelemkpe, Accra. The house helps face charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and five counts of stealing the aforementioned amounts.

The minister’s lawyers have also claimed that Patience and Sarah stole valuable personal items, including clothes, handbags, perfumes, and jewelry, valued at GH¢95,000 and $95,000.

The court proceedings are ongoing, and the case is being closely followed by the public.
