Kumawood veteran actor Kwaku Twumasi has expressed gratitude to his wife for her constant care and support.
According to Kwaku Twumasi, he is suffering from a stroke, and his wife has never felt discouraged or tired about his current condition.
“In times like this if you don’t have a good wife she can neglect and leave you behind. But my wife has stood solidly behind me in terms of prayers and everything. I really appreciate her a lot. May God bless her and continue to give her the necessary strength to hold me” said Kwaku Twumasi.
There is no way to discuss Ghana’s film industry without mentioning Kwaku Twumasi’s name. In the early 2000s, he appeared in the majority of local films. Their incredible 2001 film “Judgement Day,” starring Fred Amugi, Nana Ama Mcbrown, Koo Nimo, Judas, and the late Bob Santo, will be remembered fondly by most Ghanaians.
However, he has been battling health issues for the past eleven years. Despite the difficulties, some film producers, including Socrate Sarfo, continue to cast him in their films and television series due to his immense talent.
This is a wonderful man, and any movie producer would be delighted to cast him in a role at any time. Because he is ill, we cannot ignore his vast experience and knowledge.
“I was writing a screenplay at the time, and his name came to mind immediately. “At the time, he was sick, but I brought my entire crew to Kumasi to shoot the film because I wanted to feature him at all costs,” narrated scriptwriter and movie producer Socrate Sarfo.
Popular movie producer Samuel Nyamekye of Miracle Films, who discovered and glommed the majority of Ghana’s actors and actresses, has also described Kwaku Twumasi as a man with big ideas.
“We started a movie with him way back. When he features in your movie you can rest assured of quality work. I think we deserve to honor Kwaku Twumasi now and should wait till his death” Samuel Nyamekye said.
