My Manager got mad at me when I gave my song ‘No Dulling’ to Keche – Kuami Eugene Claims
Kuami Eugene has disclosed that the song “No Dulling” by Keche, on which he was featured and which is currently at the top of the charts, was his own personal tune.
During an episode of “Culture Daily” on 3Music TV, the Rockstar mentioned that his record label, Lynx Entertainment, was “angry” with him for putting the hip-hop duo on the song.
“They were very mad because ‘No Dulling’ was my song. The chorus was done, everything was done, and when Keche came, I just made them do their verses, and within a week, boom the song was out there. So they [Lynx Entertainment] were very upset,” he added.
Kuami indicated that solo artists have more creative flexibility than those who are signed to a record label while highlighting some of the difficulties of being a recording artist signed to a label.
He backed up his argument with a personal story about a time when his record label decided not to release some songs that were very important to him.
Meanwhile, Lynx Entertainment revealed a few of days ago that it had signed a contract with the American record company Empire, which had expressed interest in Kuami Eugene.
Richie Mensah, the Chief Executive Officer of Lynx Group Limited, signed a press release with the following statement.
“The new strategic partnership agreement will see the 2020 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year expand his horizons as he takes on the world with his music,” part of the statement read.
In conjunction with the signing of this partnership, Kuami Eugene has presented his first song, dubbed “Single,” for the initiative.
