A lady who was born without both hands Mariam revealed in an exclusive interview with Afrimax TV how her community people threw her inside the river to die because they see her as a curse. Mariam revealed that she spent three years in the hospital because she was rejected and thought to be a curse.
When she was born without hands, the doctors were taken aback. People in her community claimed she was cursed and threatened to kill her. She was hospitalized for three years straight. She claimed she had never met her biological father and that she is only alive today because of her grandfather, who adored her and fought for her in the community.
She claimed that one day in Kenya, her community members followed her and her mother to the river where they went to fetch water. They imprisoned her mother and threw her into the river to die. She survives because she knows how to swim.
She said she enjoys make-up and does some on her legs for a living, though she would like to open her own salon. She claims that men do not approach her and that she wishes to marry someday, despite the fact that her community still despises her, all thanks to her grandfather, who has always fought for her.
